SNACC Bylaws Pertaining to ICPNT
International Council on Perioperative Neuroscience Training
The International Council on Perioperative Neuroscience Training (ICPNT) will be responsible for the development of subspecialty training curricula as well as maintaining them in such manner that they will be current with scientific and clinical advancements in Neurosciences pertaining to perioperative medicine. The council will also determine eligibility criteria for application to such training programs by individuals and develop metrics on measuring program quality, thus granting subspecialty programs’ accreditation.
A chair, secretary-treasurer and 5-7 members at large shall comprise this council. The chair and secretary-treasurer will report directly to the SNACC Executive Committee. Membership in ICPNT is by the nomination and approval by the SNACC Executive Committee. Council members shall serve staggered three (3) year terms, and may serve a total of two (2) successive full terms in these positions if re-appointed by the Executive Committee. The SNACC Executive Committee will have the power to replace any member of the council if deemed necessary. The ICPNT chair will serve as a non-voting member of the SNACC Board of Directors.
ICPNT may also have ad hoc members from each region that includes or potentially includes an accredited training program.
Details of organization and function of ICPNT is maintained in a charter which shall be publicly available on the SNACC website and available in paper version to any SNACC member.
